The Salvation Army Giving Tree

Each year many families in need across Lunenburg County receive Christmas Baskets of gifts and food as part of the Christmas Assistance Program.

The Lunenburg County YMCA will be sponsoring four families this year – helping give the gift of Christmas to a total of 7 children. 

What Is The Giving Tree?

The Christmas Assistance Program is a community partnership between The Salvation Army and 14 Construction Engineering Squadron Bridgewater and business/organizations.    Each year many families in need across Lunenburg County receive Christmas Baskets of gifts and food as part of this partnership. 

The Lunenburg County YMCA will be sponsoring three families this year, with a total of 6 children.

How Do I Donate?

Remove the bottom part of the Christmas box tag, located on the Giving Tree. Return it & the gift, UNWRAPPED, to the Lunenburg County YMCA. All gifts need to be returned by Sunday, December 17th, 8pm. 

Please note: There is no minimum or maximum limit to your donation. Any donation is greatly appreciated!

The Salvation Army operates 7,546 centers in communities across the United States and Canada.

These include: food distribution, disaster relief, rehabilitation centers, anti-human trafficking efforts, and a wealth of children’s programs.
