Group Fitness Instructor Course: Cardio & Strength
Online - BASIC THEORY
Must be completed before attending first in-person session. Must pass with an 80% or higher.

BASIC MOVEMENTS + CUES AND CORRECTIVE FEEDBACK
Part 4
EXERCISE VARIETY + MODIFICATIONS

Group Fitness Instructor Course: Cardio & Strength Dates & Times (YMCA Clubhouse + YMCA Aerobic Studio)
Sat June 8, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Sun June 9, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Sat June 22, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Sun June 29, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Cost: $175 / per person
Pre-Requisites:
Pre-requisites
• Minimum 16 years of age at the time of certification
• Current CPR A (Adult)
• Recommended: 30 hours as a participant in desired subject matter
Certification Requirements
• Complete YMCA Fitness Instructor course which includes basic theory and fitness stream (e.g. cardio and strength), specific course assignments, and apprenticeship
• Score a minimum of 80% on written test within self-directed modules
• Successful evaluation by a Champion or Educator using stream specific evaluation tool
